Bob Saget's widow Kelly Rizzo addresses claim she moved on too quickly after his death

Bob Saget's widow is pushing back against claims she moved on too quickly after his death.
Kelly Rizzo, who was married to Saget from 2018 until his death in 2022, responded to those who have said she moved into a new relationship too fast in a TikTok, telling critics, "You don't know anything unless you've been in the situation."
In February, the blogger made her red carpet debut with "Road Trip" and "Clueless" star Breckin Meyer.
"Unless you are a widow or a widower, you truly have absolutely no place and no right to comment on this because you do not know what it's like," Rizzo said. "You just don't understand the incredibly complex and difficult and dynamic thoughts and feelings that come up during this entire process."
Rizzo explained that after losing a partner, "you feel guilty" and "ashamed" even thinking about starting to date again, "but yet you also feel lonely, and so you want to do it."
In her case, she said she did not begin a new relationship until 18 months after Saget's death, and his daughters and friends encouraged her to do so.
"Now people are seeing me with my boyfriend, and it's two years and a few months after, and maybe some people think Bob passed like a minute ago because they're like, 'This is so fast,'" she said. "It has been well over two years, and for every person it's different."

Rizzo stressed that "there is absolutely no room for judgment" and "it is not your place to judge because everyone goes through it differently."
She added: "Whether somebody moves on a month after or 10 years after does not diminish or take away from the love and the relationship that you had with your partner."
Saget died in January 2022 after being found unresponsive in his hotel room in Florida after a stand-up performance. His cause of death was determined to be head trauma, and his family shared authorities "concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep."
In an Instagram post in January on the two-year anniversary of Saget's death, Rizzo said it "simultaneously feels like a week and an eternity" has passed.
Kelly Rizzosays the 'world still isn't the same' 6 months after Bob Saget's death
"I will forever be grateful that I got to share life with this extraordinary person for 6 years," she wrote. "What a blessing. And grateful I can look back on endless memories and photos and videos with smiles, laughter, and yes…still tears. It is such a gift I was able to know his complete and all encompassing love and heart."
In her TikTok, Rizzo also said it was important for her to date someone who understands "that Bob is always going to be a part of my life," and she found that in her current partner.
"He always asks questions about him and keeps him a part of the conversation, and that means so much to me because I knew that I was gonna have to find somebody who just got it," she said. "And fortunately, I was lucky enough to find that."
